I am now going round the secondary schools in the island to talk to the Year 12 students about the One World Charity Challenge and how it will help them to gain valuable transferable skills, such as teamwork and presentation skills, as well as helping their chosen charities.

There will be some new elements for this year, following discussions with our new sponsors, AFD Software Ltd. in Ramsey. These will be explained in school in more detail and I will also be revising the rest of the website as well to reflect these changes. The main new elements are:

• teams will now number between 3-7 people
• teams will be expected to take part in advocacy for the work of their charity and for global development issues

I hope that as many of you as possible decide to take up this exciting challenge!
