{"id":7,"date":"2011-09-25T18:22:54","date_gmt":"2011-09-25T18:22:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oneworldcharitychallenge.com\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2022-08-18T09:03:49","modified_gmt":"2022-08-18T09:03:49","slug":"sample-page-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.oneworldcharitychallenge.com\/?page_id=7","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One World Charity Challenge is coordinated by the One World Centre, Isle of Man.<\/p>\n<p>The Challenge sets out to give Year 12 students a greater understanding of the developing world through researching the work of a charity working overseas. \u00a0Students working in teams are challenged to choose a charity working overseas, which is either Manx registered or a small UK based charity. Students then research the work of the charity and interview representatives from the charity. \u00a0They must put together a 10 &#8211; 12 minute multi-media presentation which examines the effectiveness of their charity, shows cultural understanding and looks at the impact the charity has had on someone&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsorship funds are distributed between the selected charities based on the merits of the student presentations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One World Charity Challenge is coordinated by the One World Centre, Isle of Man.
